Virtual Wall
Virtual Wall is an evolvement of the masking function found in surveillance cameras today which is used for hiding parts of the picture that you aren't allowed to surveill due to personal integrity issues or similar. The traditional solution is to put a black square over the restricted area of the picture which effectively erases all imaga data from that part of the image. But the problem is then that not only is data about persons outside your area erased from the picture, but also everything between the camera and the border of your area. Virtual Wall is solving this by analysing the image and redrawing all moving objects between the camera and the border of your area. The black box still exists and hides everything you aren't allowed to surveill, but now you can see everything that happends inside your own area.
Using these techniques you can now aim your cameras in a more efficient way - for example aiming a camera straight towards your border fence and then hide everything outside with a Virtual Wall instead of aiming it towards the ground to prevent watching outside the fence. This results in a more efficient and cost effective use of your surveillance cameras. For further information, see our product sheet (pdf).
